ITINERARY

Spend a full day enjoying the sights of Rio de Janeiro during a city tour. Start with a train ride to see Christ the Redeemer on Corcovado Hill, followed by a panoramic (external) visit to the Maracanã stadium and additional stops at the Sambadrome, the Metropolitan Cathedral, and the Selarón Steps. After lunch at a steakhouse, ride the cable car to Sugarloaf Mountain.

Get picked up at one of the Rio's waterfront hotels and head to the Cosme Velho station for a trip with the Corcovado Train. The train ride through the rainforest takes about 20 minutes from the base station to the top of Corcovado Hill, where you'll reach Christ the Redeemer - one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

When you're back at sea level, stop by the legendary Maracanã soccer stadium (external visit) and head to the Sambadrome, where Rio's thrilling Carnival is held. Pay a visit to the distinctive Metropolitan Cathedral, a modern structure influenced by the Mayan pyramids. Check out the colorful tiles of the world-famous Selarón Steps, one of Rio de Janeiro's most distinctive landmarks. Then head to the restaurant to enjoy a delicious rotational barbecue.

After lunch, take a trip to Sugarloaf Mountain, located in the Urca neighborhood. Take two cable cars on your way to the top, first arriving at Urca Hill and continuing to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain, reaching a height of 395 m. Conclude the tour with a beautiful view of Rio de Janeiro. Return to one of the hotels in front of Rio de Janeiro's most famous beaches.
